Established in 2000, PECS operates from a fully equipped control panel workshop and offices in South Brent, Devon.
We work in partnership with clients to develop and establish overarching design specifications (Functional Designs and schedules) to capture all inputs/outputs, process variables while ensuring we meet all relevant standards, specifications and exacting requirements.

How Do We Work?
We continually assess and utilise the latest technologies and innovations, manufacturing control systems with high end switchgear and control equipment to ensure quality and reliability for the process. We have longstanding and close relationships with OEM and suppliers ensure PECS and our customers has access to the best industry prices, technologies and technical backup.
Low voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies are generally manufactured to BS EN IEC 61439-2:2021, WIMES 3.0x (Water Industry Mechanical, Electrical, Specifications), British & European Standards.
Panel automation and control is generally PLC/HMI, we have knowledge and experience of a range of industrial control system hardware and software or hardwired with plant mimic (lamp, pushbutton & process controllers) and 3rd Party SCADA Integration.
An experienced & dynamic design team
We have an experienced and dynamic design team, with extensive knowledge of the control panel and electrical industry. We can call on a vast in-house database of control process systems and develop new and customised designs to suit every client’s requirement.
PECS utilise industry-standard design software programmes to produce accurate and up to date calculations and documentation including:
- Full LV designs to BS7671 including full reports and schematic wiring diagrams.
- Test and inspection certification
- LV breaker setting and discrimination.
PECS use Solidworks CAD to develop and produce:
- Control panel schematic wiring diagrams
- Single line block diagrams
- Process and instrumentation diagrams
- Loop and final connection diagrams
- General arrangement layouts.
Operation & Maintenance Documentation
No control system is wholly complete without Operation and Maintenance manuals. PECS develop and supply O&M manuals when requested to include drawings, layouts, functional design control philosophy, routine maintenance instructions, parts list and manufacturers technical documentation.
